Tom and Maggie Washa are from Wisconsin and began visiting Isla Mujeres in 1991, In 1998 Tom retired from a professional firefighting caree, they now live on Isla for 6 months every year.

Casa de Maggie was built originally as an English school in 2003 and Maggie ran the La Gloria English School for 9 years.  In 2014 the building was converted to a spacious 2-flat.  It is located in La Gloria, the most wonderful community on Isla Mujeres! 

Casa Salina Grande is a 2nd floor flat in the community of Salina Grande.  It is perfect for a single person or a couple. As your landlords, we offer high quality, timely service and maintenance.

  Both locations have in-community advantages, with grocery stores and great dining within walking distance.  Downtown is an easy 10 minute cab ride from either location, or a nice 40 to 50 min walk. Centro (the downtown) has great beaches, shopping and restaurants, and also lots of crowds and traffic jams!  Cabs are easy to catch, economical and the fastest way to get to and from downtown.

 

Isla Mujeres is a newly discovered paradise on Mexico's eastern point of the Yucatan Peninsula.  It is surrounded by the beautiful waters of the Caribbean.  The island has a strong Cultural Mayan influence, friendly, helpful and generous.
